These Terms govern StepOut: Stargazing Weather (StepOutside), a free, local-first iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch companion that helps you decide whether to observe the night sky. By using the app, you agree to use it responsibly and lawfully.
1. Purpose and eligibility
StepOutside is a decision-support and planning aid. It summarizes weather and astronomy facts to help you choose a time and direction. It is not an observatory forecast, a certified measurement instrument, a safety service, or a substitute for your own judgment.
2. Astronomy and weather limits
Astronomy results — the observing window, twilight, moon rise and set, and galactic-core position — are calculated on your device with a simplified model, so they are approximations. Weather comes from Apple Weather (WeatherKit), which may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or covering different fields for your selected place. Cloud cover, temperature, wind, humidity, and dew point are forecasts, not observations, and they can change. The app does not measure transparency, seeing, haze, light pollution, or sky brightness at your location, and any such indicator you see is an estimate. StepOutside never guarantees that a window will be clear or that you will see an object.
3. Location, geocoding, and Apple services
Location is optional. Only when you explicitly choose "Current Location" does the app take one foreground location fix and use Apple's geocoding service for the place name. Coordinates of any selected place, including a manually added one, are sent to Apple WeatherKit to request weather. The compass reads device heading only while the compass screen is open. WeatherKit, geocoding, Core Motion, UserNotifications, WidgetKit, WatchConnectivity, the on-device model, and iOS scheduling are Apple platform dependencies, and they may be limited, unavailable, or changed by Apple, by your device, by your region, or by network conditions. Where a feature or sensor is unavailable, the app keeps a clearly labelled fallback or marks the value as unavailable.
4. Direction, compass, and exposure suggestions
Compass and azimuth guidance can be affected by magnetic interference, calibration state, and how the device is held, and should be treated as approximate. Camera and exposure suggestions such as a night-mode or long-exposure starting point are educational starting values only; results depend on your equipment, aperture, sensor, stabilization, and technique. You are responsible for how you use your own camera.
5. Reminders
Reminders are optional and are scheduled locally by iOS after you enable them. Notification delivery depends on the operating system, permission state, Focus or Do Not Disturb settings, device power, and system scheduling, so a reminder may be delayed or suppressed. Do not rely on a reminder for any time-critical or safety-critical purpose.
6. Purchases, accounts, and third-party services
The current release is free and has no account, subscription, in-app purchase, paywall, advertising, or third-party SDK, and no developer server. If a future release introduces any of these, the applicable legal pages will be updated before that release.
7. Responsible and lawful use
You are responsible for observing the law and local rules while you are outside. That includes land access, park and dark-sky regulations, closures, permits, and trespass rules; local noise, lighting, fire, and drone rules; and the privacy of other people nearby. Do not use StepOutside as the sole basis for aviation, marine, navigation, emergency, driving, or other safety-critical decisions, and do not enter unsafe, private, or restricted areas because the app suggested an observing window. Use your own judgment about actual conditions, terrain, weather hazards, cold, wildlife, traffic, and personal safety.
8. Local data and data loss
Places, settings, cached weather, and reminder schedules are stored locally on your device. Deleting a place, using "Reset all data", deleting the app, losing the device, or a storage or operating-system failure can remove that data, and the app has no server-side copy to restore from. iOS backup and restore behavior is controlled by Apple and may or may not include the app's container.
9. Demo and illustrative data
When weather data is unavailable and you turn on the demo curve, the app shows a locally generated illustrative cloud-cover curve. It is marked as demo data in the interface, it is not a forecast for your place, and it must not be treated as evidence of real conditions.
10. Availability, updates, and termination
Qiquverse may fix defects, change supported systems, adjust features, or discontinue availability when reasonably necessary, and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Apple may change or withdraw platform services that the app depends on.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided without guarantees that its verdict, timeline, window, direction, weather values, reminders, widget, or watch summary will be complete, timely, or accurate. Qiquverse is not responsible for decisions you make based on app estimates, for missed or disappointing observing sessions, for equipment or property damage, or for personal injury resulting from how or where you choose to observe. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow to be limited.

本条款适用于 StepOutside（下楼看星：观星天气）。它是一款免费、本地优先的 iPhone、iPad 与 Apple Watch 应用，帮助判断是否值得出门看星。使用本应用即表示你同意以负责、合法的方式使用它。
一、用途与使用资格
下楼看星是决策辅助与规划工具，把天气与天文事实整理出来，帮助你选择时间和方向。它不是天文台的天气预报，不是经认证的测量仪器，不是安全服务，也不能替代你自己的判断。
二、天文与天气限制
天文结果——观测窗口、天文暮光、月亮升落以及银河核心位置——由你的设备使用简化算法推算，因此是近似值。天气来自 Apple Weather（WeatherKit），可能不可用、延迟、字段不完整，或与你所选地点的实际条件不同。云量、气温、风、湿度和露点是预报而非实测，并且会变化。本应用不测量你所在地点的透明度、视宁度、霾、光害或天空亮度，界面中此类指标均为估算。下楼看星绝不保证窗口一定晴朗，也不保证你能看到某个天体。
三、定位、地名与 Apple 服务
定位是可选的。只有当你主动选择“当前位置”时，App 才会在前台获取一次定位，并使用 Apple 地理编码服务查询地名。任何选定地点（包括手动添加）的坐标都会发送给 Apple WeatherKit 以请求天气。罗盘只在罗盘页面打开期间读取设备方位。WeatherKit、地理编码、Core Motion、UserNotifications、WidgetKit、WatchConnectivity、端侧模型与 iOS 调度都属于 Apple 平台依赖，可能受 Apple、你的设备、所在地区或网络条件限制、不可用或发生变化。当某项功能或传感器不可用时，App 会保留明确标注的备用路径，或把该数值标记为不可用。
四、方位、罗盘与曝光建议
罗盘与方位角提示可能受到磁干扰、校准状态和握持方式影响，应视为近似值。相机与曝光建议（例如夜间模式或长曝光的起始参数）只是教学性的起始数值，实际效果取决你的器材、光圈、传感器、防抖和拍摄技巧。如何使用你自己的相机由你负责。
五、提醒
提醒是可选的，由 iOS 在你开启后于本地安排。通知能否送达取决于操作系统、权限状态、专注模式或勿扰模式、设备电量以及系统调度，因此可能延迟或被拦截。请不要把提醒用于任何时间敏感或安全关键的用途。
六、购买、账户与第三方服务
当前版本免费，没有账户、订阅、内购、付费墙、广告或第三方 SDK，也没有开发者服务器。如果未来版本引入其中任何一项，我们会在该版本发布前更新相应法律页面。
七、负责与合法使用
你在户外时有责任遵守法律与当地规则，包括土地通行、公园与暗夜保护区规定、封禁与许可、以及禁止进入的私人区域；也包括当地的噪音、照明、用火与无人机规定，以及附近其他人的隐私。不要把下楼看星作为航空、航海、导航、紧急情况、驾驶或其他安全关键决定的唯一依据，也不要因为 App 给出了观测窗口就进入不安全、私人或受限区域。请自行判断实际条件、地形、天气风险、低温、野生动物、交通与人身安全。
八、本地数据与数据丢失
地点、设置、天气缓存与提醒安排都保存在你的设备本地。删除地点、使用“重置所有数据”、删除 App、设备丢失，或出现存储或系统故障，都可能移除这些数据，而 App 没有服务器侧副本可用于恢复。iOS 的备份与恢复由 Apple 控制，且可能包含也可能不包含 App 的容器。
九、演示与示意数据
当天气数据不可用且你开启演示曲线时，App 会显示一条本地生成的示意云量曲线。它在界面中标注为演示数据，不是你所在地点的预报，也不能当作真实条件的证据。
十、可用性、更新与终止
奇趣宇宙可能在合理必要时修复缺陷、调整支持系统、变更功能或停止提供，并不保证持续或完全无错误运行。Apple 也可能变更或撤销本应用依赖的平台服务。
十一、免责声明与责任限制
在法律允许的范围内，本应用不保证其裁决、时间轴、窗口、方向、天气数值、提醒、小组件或手表摘要完整、及时或准确。对于你依据应用估算作出的决定、错过或不满意的观测经历、器材或财产损失，或因为你的观测时间与地点选择而造成的人身伤害，奇趣宇宙不承担责任。本条款不限制适用法律不允许限制的权利。
