Terms of Use
These Terms govern SoundDiary, a local-first iPhone and iPad utility for understanding everyday environmental sound and organizing structured noise records. By using SoundDiary, you agree to use it responsibly and lawfully.
1. Purpose and eligibility
SoundDiary provides consumer context and record-keeping tools. Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws, building rules, workplace policies, agreements, and the instructions of people whose environment they measure.
2. Permissions and privacy
Only grant microphone or HealthKit access when you understand the purpose. Do not use SoundDiary to secretly monitor, harass, intimidate, or record another person without appropriate authorization. The optional audio clip is your responsibility to review and protect.
3. Measurement limitations
SoundDiary uses a device microphone and software estimates. Calibration, device variation, automatic gain, clipping, room acoustics, placement, and environmental conditions can affect results. The app is not a certified, professional, forensic, legal, medical, or safety-critical measuring instrument.
4. Reference exposure and health boundaries
NIOSH and WHO references are presented as public context and not as a diagnosis, guarantee, treatment, or individualized medical advice. Do not rely on the app alone for hearing protection, sleep, employment, tenancy, emergency, or other high-consequence decisions.
5. Records, exports, and sharing
You are responsible for the scenes, notes, labels, calibration choices, exported files, and recipients you select. Review a PDF or CSV before sharing. A copy sent to another app, cloud service, or person may contain personal or sensitive context and cannot be recalled by SoundDiary.
6. HealthKit and Apple services
HealthKit comparison is optional; reading is used for comparison, and writing is a separate control that is off by default and only saves the selected completed session's LAeq after the user enables it and confirms. It is subject to Apple's authorization, availability, data model, and device behavior. Microphone, background audio, file sharing, and HealthKit features depend on iOS, device state, available storage, and user permission. Related functionality may be limited when an Apple service is unavailable.
7. Local storage and data loss
Records are stored locally by default. Device loss, app deletion, storage failure, operating-system changes, user deletion, or backup behavior may cause data loss. Keep any export or backup you need and protect copies containing private information.
8. Prohibited use
Do not use SoundDiary for unlawful surveillance, harassment, coercion, discrimination, unauthorized evidence collection, publication of private material, or any use that endangers a person or property. Do not misrepresent an app estimate as a certified measurement.
9. Current access, updates, and termination
Current V1 features are free and do not require an account, purchase, subscription, or paywall. We may fix defects, change supported systems, update features, or discontinue availability when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Disclaimers and contact
To the extent permitted by law, SoundDiary is provided without guarantees that readings, labels, timestamps, interruptions, exports, or local records will be complete or error-free. 本条款适用于声日记。声日记是一款本地优先的 iPhone 和 iPad 日常环境声音工具，用于理解声音并整理结构化噪音记录。使用声日记即表示你同意以负责、合法的方式使用。
一、用途与使用资格
声日记提供日常参考和记录工具。用户应遵守适用法律、物业规则、工作规定、合同，以及被测环境相关人员的合理要求。
二、权限与隐私
只有理解用途后才授予麦克风或 HealthKit 权限。不得用声日记秘密监听、骚扰、恐吓或未经适当授权记录他人。可选音频片段的检查、保存和保护由用户负责。
三、测量限制
声日记使用设备麦克风和软件估算。校准、机型差异、自动增益、限幅、房间声学、摆放位置和环境都会影响结果。应用不是经过认证的专业、法医、法律、医疗或关键安全测量器具。
四、参考暴露与健康边界
NIOSH 和 WHO 参考值只是公开背景信息，不是诊断、保证、治疗或个性化医疗建议。不要只依赖应用决定听力保护、睡眠、就业、租赁、紧急或其他高风险事项。
五、记录、导出与分享
用户对场景、备注、标签、校准选择、导出文件和收件人负责。分享 PDF 或 CSV 前应检查内容。发送至其他 App、云服务或个人的副本可能包含个人/敏感背景，声日记无法撤回。
六、HealthKit 与 Apple 服务
HealthKit 对照是可选功能：读取用于对照，写入是另一项默认关闭的独立选择，只有用户开启并确认后才会写入所选已完成会话的 LAeq。相关能力受 Apple 授权、可用性、数据模型和设备行为影响。麦克风、后台音频、文件分享和 HealthKit 依赖 iOS、设备状态、存储和用户权限；Apple 服务不可用时相关能力可能受限。
七、本地存储与数据丢失
记录默认保存在本地。设备丢失、App 删除、存储故障、系统变化、用户删除或备份行为可能造成数据丢失。请保留需要的导出或备份，并保护含私密信息的副本。
八、禁止用途
不得将声日记用于非法监听、骚扰、胁迫、歧视、未经授权取证、公开私人材料，或危及人员与财产的活动。不得把应用估算误称为认证测量。
九、当前访问、更新与终止
当前 V1 免费，不要求账号、购买、订阅或付费墙。我们可能在合理必要时修复缺陷、更改支持系统、更新功能或停止提供，并不保证持续或完全无错误运行。
十、免责声明与联系
在法律允许范围内，声日记不保证读数、标签、时间、中断、导出或本地记录完整且无误。对于只依据估算作出的决定、未经授权的录音、分享副本、设备故障或本地数据丢失，Qiquverse 不承担责任。如有问题，请联系 [email protected]。
